| NATURAL BEESWAX Traditional wax used for writing pysanky since the art-form's creation. Somewhat translucent and will allow a limited visibility of the underlying shell color. Helpful on complex designs, where colored wax would obscure the shell color. If used with a traditional kistka and candle, the soot from the flame may darken the wax. |

| COLORIZED BEESWAX Natural beeswax with a colorant added. Originally developed for use with an electric kistka to help see the lines drawn, due to the absence of a candle flame to provide the soot. The dark black color is helpful to see completed work, especially for beginners. However, once applied, the shell color is somewhat obscured by the darkness of the wax. |

| STRIP BEESWAX Extruded beeswax made in strips. Extremely convenient for filling your kistka and decreasing the chance for a blob of wax to form on the outside of the tool. Also helps to prevent the wax from being contaminated. If you are using the professional kistka with the Fine #1 and extra fine #0 tips, we strongly recommend using the Pro Strip Wax, either colored or clear. |
