These are traditional Ukrainian
enbroidered towels that are used to
venerate religious Icons, for wedding ceremonies or just to decorate a
Ukrainian
home.
Other uses are table runners, panels to make pillows or anywhere you
need a little embroidery.
Prices, place of origin and availability are as marked. These are not
screen prints but real embroideries and all are handmade from Ukraine.
There are 3 styles: Standard Cross Stitch, Fine Cross Stitch and
Nyzynka.
The Nyzynka technique creates a design by interweaving the thread in
parrallel
stitches.
The difference between Standard and Fine cross stitch is the size of
the cross. The fine is a smaller cross stitch.
