These are traditional Ukrainian enbroidered towels that are used to adorn religious Icons, for wedding ceremonies or just to decorate a Ukrainian home. Prices, place of origin and availability are as marked. These are not screen prints but real embroideries and all are from Ukraine. There are 3 styles: Standard Cross Stitch, Fine Cross Stitch and Nyzynka. The Nyzynka technique creates the design by interweaving the thread in parrallel stitches. The difference between Standard and Fine cross stitch is the size of the cross. The fine cross stitch has a smaller cross stitch.
